The Gastroenterology Associates can accommodate patients with a variety of services. Consultations are generally 45-60 minute appointments in our offices to diagnose and treat symptoms or problems that have been hard to treat. We will explore the problem trying to find the cause.

Procedures that are clearly indicated by previous medical evaluation can simply be scheduled by calling our office. Refer to the Available Services section for a list of GI PROCEDURES. In most cases, your physician has determined which procedure is needed and assessed any risk factors. We will provide all of the information for preparation, time for the procedure and certify insurance coverage. Our trained staff will handle insurance billing as a courtesy.

Colon cancer screening is a major concern for us. Appropriate colon cancer screening tests are provided according to National guidelines of the American Cancer Institute and the American College of Gastroenterology as well as the American College of Physicians. As 6% of our population is at risk for colon cancer, we recommend to everyone Colon Cancer screening.

Patients who schedule procedures without a consultation will be seen in the Endoscopy Unit by our physician at the time of the procedure. The physician will review the medical history, do an exam and answer any questions necessary.
