James
L. Lapis, M.D.
A native of New York State, Dr. Lapis comes to Gastroenterology
Associates with more than 20 years of experience in the specialty
of gastroenterology. After receiving his bachelor of science
from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Dr. Lapis
completed his doctorate of medicine at the University of Texas
Southwestern Medical School, Dallas. He later completed a fellowship
in gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina Memorial
Hospital, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Lapis
is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, The
American Gastroenterlogical Association, American Society
for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, The American College of Gastroenterology,
the American College of Physicians, the Crohn's and Colitis
Foundation, and the Christian Medical and Dental Society.
All of the GA
doctors are Board Certified in INTERNAL MEDICINE
and Board Certified in GASTROENTEROLOGY.
Each doctor is also a CLINICAL ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
OF MEDICINE for the Quillen School of Medicine at
ETSU.
