Our Physicians’ Qualifications
A gastroenterologist is a medical specialist, broadly trained in internal medicine who also has taken specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the digestive system.

All Gastroenterology Associates physicians are board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the subspecialty of Gastroenterology. After completing college and four years of medical school, each of our physicians received at least five additional years of training.

That training is updated yearly through specialized courses, attendance in professional meetings, and independent reading and research. In fact, our physicians often use their expertise to instruct other physicians at medical lectures, symposiums, and seminars.
