Robert
D. Strickland, M.D.
Dr. Strickland was born in Atlanta, GA
in 1961. He grew up in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Strickland is married
and has three children ranging from Elementary School to Middle
School. He obtained a B.A. degree from Carson Newman College
and a M.D. from the Quillen School of Medicine (ETSU). He graduated
Alpha Omega Alpha "(Top 6% of the class)". Dr. Strickland
performed his Internship and Residency at the University of
Kentucky and was selected to become Chief Resident. He continued
with the University of Kentucky to complete his Fellowship in
Gastroenterology. Dr. Strickland is the Chairman of the Quality
Assurance Committee for Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital and
on the Board of Director of Highlands IPA. Outside interests
are running and water sports.
All of the GA
doctors are Board Certified in INTERNAL MEDICINE
and Board Certified in GASTROENTEROLOGY.
Each doctor is also a CLINICAL ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
OF MEDICINE for the Quillen School of Medicine at
ETSU.
